NSS Results 2017

The 2017 National Student Survey results show that our midwifery and physiotherapy students are among the most satisfied in the UK with overall satisfaction rates of 96%, higher than the national average of 84%.

The NSS is an annual survey taken by final year undergraduate students to assess their university experience in areas including teaching, academic support, learning resources and placements. This year 81% of our final year students undertook the survey.

Students studying midwifery showed increased levels of satisfaction according to the survey, with their overall satisfaction rising to 96%. They were particularly happy with teaching on the course, which scored a fantastic 99%.

Several of our subjects rated well in this year’s survey, with physiotherapy also maintaining high satisfaction levels with a scoring of 96%. Radiotherapy students showed a particular increase in overall satisfaction, up to 90% this year.

Other scores to be celebrated include:

• Occupational therapy students were particularly happy with the School's learning community, which achieved 87%
• Adult nursing students from our March intake were also particularly satisfied with the teaching on their course, which achieved 89%
• Diagnostic radiography students also rated the teaching on their course, which achieved 81%

Overall, students in the School were most satisfied with learning resources, which achieved 86%. This is testament to our significant investment in facilities over the last few years.
