3rd Annual Inherited Eye Disease Patient Day Wednesday 15th March 2017 5.00—8.30pm Cardiff School of Optometry & Vision Sciences Main Lecture Theatre Organised by Prof Marcela Votruba, Hon. Consultant Ophthalmologist in collaboration with Genetic Alliance UK & the Wales Gene Park.

The event was attended by over 75 delegates, comprising patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals. We were happy to host displays by Sight Cymru, HumanWare, Wales Council for the Blind, Visualise Training Consultancy and the Cardiff Eye Clinic.
The meeting was popular and very interactive and patients contributed a lot of personal advice and feedback. We are grateful to our visiting speaker, Dr Sarah Stevenson, from Oxford Eye Hospital, and local speakers, Rebecca John, Welsh Lead for Low Vision Services, Steven Blunt from the Genetic Alliance UK and students Lydia Harper and Kate Barr and Alice Youngs.
