Giving students a headstart

Cardiff Business School has become one of the first Russell Group business schools to be accredited to provide a Diploma in Professional Consulting by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

The accreditation means that students studying the Management Consulting module on the Cardiff MBA will be eligible for the additional Diploma, giving students a head-start in the workplace.

The School has also been awarded Approved Centre status by the Chartered Management Institute.

The news comes just three months after the School became the sixth Russell Group member, and the first business school in Wales, to be awarded accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).

Professor Martin Kitchener said, "I am delighted that we have extended our relationship with the CMI in this way, and particularly pleased that, in a short space of time, we have been successful in gaining accreditation by such high regarded organisations.

"This is testimony to our ongoing commitment to ensuring that we provide the best possible educational experience for our students, and to combining that with the skills that our students need to flourish in the workplace."
