Prestigious panel appointment

Professor Sally Power, co-director of WISERD, has been appointed as Chair of ESRC Grant Assessment Panel B.

This is a crucial role for the ESRC and will involve ensuring all applications are subject to a comprehensive discussion and robust final grading. Panel B covers Education, Linguistics, Social Work, Science & Technology Studies, Socio-Legal Studies, and Sociology.

Professor Power’s main area of research expertise is in education, where she is interested in many aspects of education, policy and inequality.

Dr Robert Evans, Director of Teaching and Learning at the School of Social Sciences, has also been appointed as a member of ESRC Grant Assessment Panel B.
