Liftshare Week: Halve fuel costs and win £250

If you saw a petrol station advertising fuel for 69p a litre, you'd stop and buy some, wouldn't you? Well if you're currently driving on your own to work you could halve your fuel costs by joining the University's Liftshare Scheme.

The scheme's website enables you to find others travelling in the same direction, so that you can share your commute. Just by sharing with one other person, you will be leaving your car at home two weeks out of four, reducing your fuel spend by half. If you give someone a lift every day, their fuel contribution will halve the amount you spend on petrol.

Even if you don't own a car you can still be part of the Liftshare Scheme by registering to be a passenger in someone's car in return for a contribution to fuel costs.

To celebrate Liftshare Week (7– 11October), everyone who registers a daily/weekly or shift journey on the Liftshare website until 13October will be entered into a prize draw to win £250.
