28 Mai 2014
Professor Alan Clarke, Director of the European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute, was approached by Adjacent Government magazine to highlight the work of the Institute in May's issue released on 27 May.
In the article, Prof Clarke spells out the challenges of and the barriers to working in the sometimes controversial field of cancer stem cell research. His feature appears alongside others including an overview of the work of the European Commission's Horizon 2020 innovation programme, which funds research in the area of stem cells.
Prof Clarke said: "I was more than happy to provide comment on the work of the Institute when asked by Adjacent Government. I am also pleased to see the wider issue of stem cell research addressed within the publication and hope that it helps the readership to see how life-changing this research could be. Our ultimate aim is to achieve a more tailored approach to cancer therapies for patients and articles like this can help us to highlight our work."
