Gwaith ymchwil y Sefydliad ym maes canser y pancreas yn cael sylw yng nghylchgrawn Adjacent Government

Dr Catherine Hogan, one of the Institute's Research Fellows, appears in the May issue of Adjacent Government magazine talking about her research on the early stages of pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is a particularly devastating disease, with a 5 year survival rate of less than 5%. Early detection is key to improved patient prognosis, but knowledge of how this disease begins and develops at the cellular level remains insufficient.

In this article, Dr Hogan explains how an innovative approach to understanding the early stages of this disease may pave the way for the development of earlier detection tools, ultimately improving prognoses for pancreatic cancer patients.
