BBC focus on gold catalysis
15 Gorffennaf 2014
Ground breaking work from Cardiff School of Chemistry has been featured
on BBC Wales news (14 July 2014). Researchers at Cardiff Catalysis
Institute, based within the School of Chemistry, have been instrumental
in pioneering the use of gold as a catalyst for a wide range of chemical
transformations and applications. Many people may initially think of
gold as being a very inert substance, but once gold is made into
nanoparticles it is able to exhibit exceptional behaviour as a catalyst.
