Marie Curie Fellowship 2016 call for Expressions of Interest

The School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University is keen to host Marie Skłodowska Curie (MSCA) fellows, and is currently inviting expressions of interest from potential post-doctoral researches with an excellent track record. The next call for applications closes on 14 September 2016.
What is it?
MSCA Fellowships provide support for anyone with a PhD or at least four years research experience. The aim of these Fellowships is to enhance the skills and potential of the best researchers, whether European or non-European, willing to work in the EU. There is a special Career Restart Panel to resume a research career after a break and it is possible to embed a secondment within the Fellowship to take place within Europe. MSCA fellowships are highly flexible, pay a generous salary, and are open to both external applicants and existing University staff who are interested in conducting research abroad. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to gain prestigious funding for their research and Cardiff University will provide full support and guidance in developing promising applications.
What areas are funded?
MSCA is open to all research and innovation areas. The participation of third parties within projects is encouraged, e.g. SMEs, NGOs, charities, museums, archives, etc.
Eligibility requirements
For the European Fellowships incoming to Cardiff, candidates must not have been resident in the UK for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the 14th September 2016.
We welcome expressions of interest from high quality researchers particularly in the following research themes:
- Text and data mining
- Knowledge representation and reasoning
- Security and privacy
- Social computing
- Quantum technologies
