Biosciences Senior Lecturer wins Biochemical Society Teaching Excellence Award

Congratulations to Dr Emma Yhnell of the School of Biosciences, for being awarded the ‘Teaching Excellence – Early Career’ Award by the Biochemical Society
The annual Biochemical Society Awards recognise the work and contribution of 14 eminent bioscientists, teams, and exceptional educators and researchers.
Dr Yhnell is a Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience in the School of Biosciences, and also has a very strong profile in science engagement with the public, and the Welsh Government. She has been recognized nationally and internationally for her innovative teaching. Emma was one of 3 colleagues shortlisted for the prestigious Royal Society of Biology ‘Higher Education Bioscience Teacher of the Year’ award in 2022, and is the youngest ever elected Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.
