PODCON Cymru 2020
20 Ionawr 2020
Wales’ first ever podcast conference, supported by BBC Cymru Wales, will take place in the School of Journalism, Media and Culture this week.
The one-day conference will welcome industry experts, commissioning editors and the people behind some of the UK’s most popular podcasts to share their knowledge of what it takes to be a success.
Few places remain and with registrations closing this Wednesday, the final spaces are expected to be snapped up in the next twenty-four hours.
Sali Collins, Course Director of Broadcast Journalism and conference organiser said, “Whether you're thinking of getting started, looking to improve your content or attempting to monetize your podcast, we’ll have speakers to address all these issues and much more.”
Attendees will hear from the teams behind the successful BBC podcasts Beyond Today and Shreds as well as producers from Channel 4, BBC Sounds, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru, Audioboom, The British Podcasts Awards and Creative Cardiff.
The conference will be held in Two Central Square, the School’s new home since 2018. Tickets are available on Eventbrite - PODCON CYMRU 2020.
