Round 2 of our GDC professionalism survey

Round two of our General Dental Council professionalism survey is now open.

We had an amazing response to the 1st round of our survey and thanks to all who took the time to respond.

Responses from round 1 have been collated and we have identified the items that have passed the threshold of consensus. We based the threshold for consensus on the following criteria:

• Section 1 - At least 70% of participants agreed on rating the behaviour as either not unprofessional, or as moderately unprofessional or as highly unprofessional
• Section 2 - At least 70% of participants agreed on rating the behaviour as not necessary, or as desirable or essential

As a result of the first round:

• Section 1 -  10 out of 27 of the behaviours achieved consensus.
• Section 2 -  17 out of 26 of the behaviours achieved consensus.

In the second round we ask for your feedback on the 26 items which did NOT achieve consensus and present a summary of the results we ask you to rate each of these items again
