Mental Health & Wellbeing Day
19 Tachwedd 2015
On Monday 7th December 2015 Community Gateway are hosting a Mental Health & Wellbeing Day at Grange Gardens Pavilion, Grangetown. The event is aimed at the local community and aims to bring the topic of mental health into discussion and enable residents to ask questions and liaise with local service providers. It is hoped that through this event people will gain more of an understanding and awareness of what services are available for both themselves or others who are experiencing problems.
The programme of events includes speakers from Nexus, Sefyll, Hafal and Solace as well as other NHS providers and also includes an informal chat and coffee and cake with local care providers.
The Mental Health & Wellbeing Day is one of the first pop-up events to be hosted by Community Gateway who have now acquired the licence to the Grange Bowls Pavilion for 12 months with hope to hand over to the local community in the future. Community-led ideas for the Pavilion and Green will now be piloted through pop-up events, community workshops, and a wide variety of classes, training, network and information sharing sessions.
Community Gateway are keen to hear from local residents as to how they would like to use the pavilion over the next year. For more information on the Mental Health & Wellbeing Day or the Grange Bowls Pavilion Project please contact: communitygateway@cardiff.ac.uk
