Two new Knowledge Transfer Partnerships for CAMSAC
1 Mai 2013
Members of the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Systems at Cardiff have recently been successful in securing around £250k of funding from industry, the Welsh Government, the EPSRC and the Technology Strategy Board to work in partnership with industry on two new Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).
Professor Aris Syntetos will be working with Panalpina World Transport Ltd., one of the world’s leading providers of supply chain solutions, to help them develop a demand-driven inventory-forecasting model to facilitate inventory reductions.
Professor Stephen Disney and Daniel Eyers will carry out a collaborative project with Reid Lifting, a multi-award winning designer of innovative, portable lifting systems based in South Wales.
This second project will aim to design, develop, and implement business and manufacturing systems to support the full-service business models of manufacturing SMEs.
