Cardiff University student Rhiannon Jones has been highly commended at this year’s Women in Property National Student Awards.
Rhiannon, final year student on the BSc City and Regional Planning, was nominated by academics in the School of Planning and Geography as one of the best performing students in her cohort, along with 96 other students from 48 universities.
Students were judged through a series of regional judging panels, where they presented a piece of their coursework. Rhiannon joined the 10 other finalists for a challenging interview on topical and industry issues, before celebrating at the prestigious awards ceremony.
Elspeth Burrage, outgoing Women in Property National Chairman, said: ”Our whole-hearted congratulations go to both Harri (award winner) and Rhiannon, who performed brilliantly against a group of very talented, ambitious and professional young women. We would like to offer all of them our thanks for taking part and have absolutely no doubt we’ll see them again, making names for themselves in their chosen careers.”
Professor Paul Milbourne, Head of the School of Planning and Geography, said: “Naturally we are very proud of Rhiannon’s commendation; I am pleased to be able to personally congratulate her on this impressive achievement.”
