Postgraduate Teaching Centre shortlisted for prestigious construction awards

Cardiff Business School’s Postgraduate Teaching Centre, and contractor ISG Construction, have been shortlisted for two prizes at the Constructing Excellence in Wales (CEW) Awards 2015.

The new building, opened in September 2014, is shortlisted for the Health & Safety Award and for Project of the Year. Winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner on Friday June 12^th 2015.

The building offers two major lecture theatres, an executive education suite for short and bespoke programmes, 12 flexible teaching and seminar rooms, MBA and MSC common rooms, the Postgraduate Hub and the 60-seater ‘trading room’. It has proven popular with staff and students alike since its opening and demonstrates the School’s commitment to providing the very best learning environment and ensuring facilities match the high quality of teaching and research at the School.

ISG Construction worked closely with School and Cardiff University’s Estates Division to deliver the project on time for the beginning of the 2014-15 academic year.
