Meet Claire Scott

We are very pleased to welcome Claire Scott as the newest member of the CPDUnit team. Claire is joining us as Marketing and Communications Officer, and her main role will be to help the wider team to raise the profile of the CPD Unit, and further promote the fantastic range of training and development that Cardiff University offers business, industry and professionals.

Claire has a background in marketing, PR and communications, having worked in private sector agencies in Cardiff, Bristol and Brighton.

“My most recent role was as Senior Account Manager at The Info Group, which is on Cardiff University’s design framework, so I have a good understanding of the organisation and the brand direction, and there are already some familiar faces.

Before that, I worked at an agency in Brighton, where I was responsible for the marketing and promotions of large shopping centres, including digital, social media, traditional media and event management.”

Claire is responsible for promoting the work of the CPD unit, showcasing the flexible, collaborative and innovative learning opportunities available at Cardiff University.

“I am looking forward to working closely with the CPD Unit, as well as colleagues in other areas of the University, to highlight the exciting work that is being done. There’s a great range of learning solutions, from short courses to standalone postgraduate modules, plus bespoke training programmes for business, so it’s an exciting challenge.”
