Yvonne said;
"When I heard about the award I could not believe I had been chosen. My first thoughts were 'do I deserve this? and why me? Since then I have been encouraged to accept it as an award for all nurses; especially because it highlights the role of the Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Being awarded an MBE is a great honor both for myself and the nursing profession. I would like to share this award with all my fellow nurse practitioners and raise the flag for advanced nursing practice in Wales."
