New postgraduate degree at the School of Mathematics

An exciting new postgraduate degree has been launched at the Cardiff School of Mathematics.
The MSc Mathematics is a one year full-time degree, offering a sound basis of knowledge, understanding and skills in the main areas of mathematics.
Head of the School of Mathematics Professor Tim Phillips said: “Our MSc Mathematics delves into the fascinating, challenging and elegant world of mathematics. We will take your skillset and knowledge base from a BSc in Mathematics - or similar - towards a point where you can embark on original research in pure and applied mathematics.”
This new MSc is ideal preparation for both academia and work in the industry, thanks to the transferable skills you will develop which are highly sought after by a range of employers, and which also form a solid foundation for applying to do a PhD.
