We offer a range of level 7 (MSc level) stand-alone modules that you can take as continuing professional development. A number of our modules are inter-disciplinary.

Modules

HCT021 - Gwyddoniaeth Perfformiad ac Anafiadau mewn Chwaraeon

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn galluogi'r myfyriwr i werthuso'n feirniadol ymateb y chwaraewr a'r unigolyn gweithredol i ymarfer a pharatoi ar gyfer gweithgaredd penodol.

HCT022 - Assessment and Treatment of Sports Injuries

This module will enable you to critically evaluate current treatment methods and formulate management plans for the treatment of sports injuries based on evidence based practice.

HCT023 - Sport and Exercise Participation

This module will enable the student to manage the injured sportsperson and active individual and to develop injury prevention strategies with cognisance of all potential roles involved.

HCT053 - Cymhwysedd Clinigol mewn Mammography

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn galluogi'r myfyriwr i ffurfioli a datblygu ei ddealltwriaeth o egwyddorion mamograffig a phynciau cysylltiedig.

HCT104 - Adult Chest and Abdomen Image Appreciation

These modules will provide students with the advanced knowledge necessary to appreciate imaging of the chest and abdomen and produce concise and coherent written reports of the chest and abdomen.

HCT108 - Adrodd ar y Frest a’r Abdomen yn achos Oedolion

Nod y modiwl hwn yw rhoi'r uwch wybodaeth sydd ei hangen ar fyfyrwyr i werthfawrogi’r broses o ddelweddu'r frest a'r abdomen a chreu adroddiadau ysgrifenedig cryno a rhesymegol o'r frest a'r abdomen.

HCT119 - Dehongli ac Adrodd Delweddau mewn Mammography

Nodau'r modiwlau yw rhoi'r sgiliau a'r wybodaeth arbenigol sydd eu hangen ar fyfyrwyr i wneud dehongliad cywir o ddelweddau mamograffig mewn gwasanaethau sgrinio a symptomau i safon a gymeradwywyd gan Raglen Sgrinio'r Fron y GIG.

HCT391 - Hwyluso Prosesau Dysgu ac Addysgu

Mae’r modiwl hwn yn canolbwyntio ar ddulliau sy’n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth mewn perthynas â hwyluso’r broses o ddysgu, addysgu, dysgu rhyngbroffesiynol a sicrhau ansawdd ym maes addysg uwch ac ymarfer clinigol.

HCT139 - Diagnosis a Thriniaeth Cyhyrysgerbydol

Nod y modiwl hwn yw galluogi myfyrwyr i ddatblygu dull datrys problemau o wneud diagnosis niwrogyhyrysgerbydol yn seiliedig ar fiomecaneg ac anatomeg swyddogaethol.

HCT150 - Deall Canser: Safbwyntiau Cleifion a Gweithwyr Proffesiynol

This module's main focus on cancer as a chronic long-term condition.

HCT181 - Sylfaen mewn Asesiad Clinigol Uwch ar gyfer Gweithwyr Gofal Iechyd Proffesiynol

Bydd y modiwl yn canolbwyntio ar alluogi myfyrwyr sy'n gweithio mewn amgylcheddau gofal brys a heb ei drefnu i ddatblygu eu hasesiad clinigol o gleifion a'u sgiliau diagnostig yn eu maes ymarfer penodol.

HCT199 - Goruchwylio Dysgu mewn Ymarfer Proffesiynol Arbenigol

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn rhoi cyfle i fyfyrwyr ymchwilio i faes o ymarfer therapi galwedigaethol arbenigol.

HCT200 - Neurorehabilitation: A Theoretical Basis

The aim of this module is to enable the student to consider the theoretical basis to neurorehabilitation of adults or children, based on current theories of neuroscience and understanding of neuropathology.

HCT203 - Iechyd y Cyhoedd, Economeg Iechyd a Pholisi

Yn y modiwl hwn byddwch yn archwilio'n feirniadol sut mae llunwyr polisi yn dylanwadu ar arferion ac ymddygiadau gofal iechyd yn y DU ac yn rhyngwladol ym maes iechyd y cyhoedd a gwasanaethau gofal iechyd eraill.

HCT204 - Fundamentals in Community Practice (Specialist Practice Qualification)

This module will provide nurses with the generic core knowledge and skills to work safely and effectively in a community setting.

HCT207 - Appendicular/Axial Radiographic Reporting

The aim of the module is to provide students with the advanced knowledge necessary to produce concise and coherent written reports of the appendicular and axial skeleton.

HCT208 - Appendicular/Axial Image Appreciation

The aim of the module is to provide you with the advanced knowledge necessary to appreciate imaging of the appendicular and axial skeleton.

HCT226 - Clinical Kinesiology and Tissue Pathology

The aim of this module is to give the student an advanced understanding of the biomechanics and motor control of the musculo-skeletal system and of movement analysis.

HCT236 - Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy Theory and Application

This module will encourage and enable students to examine the sociological concept of professionalism and to relate these to the theory of occupational science and occupational therapy in an in depth way.

HCT254 - Gweithdrefnau Ymyriadol Tywysedig y Fron: Mammography

Galluogi'r myfyriwr i ennill y sgiliau datblygiadau angenrheidiol a'r wybodaeth arbenigol i ddod yn gymwys iawn i berfformio gweithdrefnau biopsi dan arweiniad delweddau o'r fron.

HCT341 - Cardio-Respiratory Care: Theory to Practice

The aim of this module is to develop in the student a critical understanding of the biology, physiology and pathophysiology of the human respiratory system at an advanced level.

HCT342 - The Art and Science of Occupational Therapy

The aim of this module is to develop students’ understanding of the art and science of occupational therapy practice from a range of theoretical perspectives. Students will critically explore the different theories relating to creativity (art) and its interplay with science, evaluating the relevance of these to their own area of practice.

HCT344 - Research and data analysis in healthcare

The aim of this module is to develop students’ ability to critically understand and conceptualise the process of research within the context of health and social care. This will include current thinking and debates relating to methodology, methods, data analysis, data management, ethics and governance.

HCT345 - Gwyddoniaeth Ymbelydredd Cymhwysol

Nodau'r modiwl yw darparu'r wybodaeth gymhleth ac arbenigol sydd ei hangen ar y myfyriwr i werthuso ansawdd delweddau diagnostig, datblygu gwerthfawrogiad myfyrwyr o'r ystod o ddulliau delweddu sydd ar gael a'u defnydd priodol mewn ymarfer clinigol.

NRT150 - Trawsnewid Gofal, Systemau a Gwasanaethau drwy Arweinyddiaeth

Bydd y modiwl lefel Meistr hwn yn arfogi gweithwyr iechyd proffesiynol sy'n dymuno ymarfer ar lefel uwch a thu hwnt gyda'r sgiliau a'r wybodaeth benodol i arwain yn effeithiol mewn ystod o gyd-destunau ac i ddatblygu rolau a gwasanaethau newydd.

HCT348 - Musculoskeletal Advanced Practice First Contact Practitioner

This module will focus on enabling students to build the capability required to successfully perform as an FCP with musculoskeletal specialism.

HCT350 - Complex decision making

This module is aimed at health care professionals working in, or preparing for, roles at an advanced or a higher level of practice in complex care.

HCT352 - Advanced Practice in the Management of Minor Illness

This module will deliver the education and skills necessary for suitably qualified nurses working in primary care to provide patients/clients with an additional service relating to the treatment and management of minor illnesses.

NRT073 - Diogelwch Cleifion a Risg Glinigol

Bydd y modiwl hwn yn archwilio safbwyntiau damcaniaethol, proffesiynol, sefydliadol, moesegol a chyfreithiol yn feirniadol sy'n llywio diogelwch cleifion a rheoli risg wrth ddatblygu ac ymarfer uwch.

HCT372 - Advanced Assessment of Child and Young Person.

This module will enable the student to critically evaluate the response of the sportsperson and active individual to exercise and preparation for specific activity.
