Enhancing cyber security in an uncertain world was the topic of debate for the second panel with NATO’s Deputy Assistant General for Emerging Security Challenges, Dr Jamie Shea, and Cardiff University’s Professor Mike Levi and Professor Omer Rana.

Jonathan Parish, NATO’s Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Defence Policy and Planning discussed smart defence planning in the third panel session, with Professor Mikkel Vedby Rasmussen, Head of Security and Defence Policy at the Danish Minister of Defence and Dr Sergio Catignani from Exeter University.

NATO and the Transatlantic Partnership was the topic of debate for the final panel session, with Dr Robin Niblett, Director of Chatham House, Dr Nina Graeger from the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs and Etienne de Durand from the Institut Francais des Relations Internationales

The final keynote was given by Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, Deputy Secretary Geneal of NATO. Speaking on “NATO and Russia: a new strategic reality”.
