Your Daughter Fanny is a one-woman opera/chamber work commissioned by Caroline Schiller for voice, violin, and piano.

The project began in part to commemorate the role of women in WW1 and to encourage the composition of a large scale work by women to add to the canon. The work is based on and draws from the letters of Frances Cluett, a school teacher from Newfoundland who left her home during WW1 and spent the war in Britain and France tending the wounded.

It is composed by award-winning composer, Alice Ho and Fanny’s letters are edited and stage narration created by author Lisa Moore. It is performed with minimal musical forces, in costume, with minimal set, and projection.
