Sustainability and Resilience for the Built Environment

This workshop aims to bring together expertise from the UK and Taiwan to facilitate the development of more robust green infrastructures to enhance the quality of the built environment and make future cities more resilient to current and future climates.

Some of the potential ways of ensuring this resilience, for example, is by optimising water and energy management, reducing the urban heat island effect and pollution, and improving human health and well-being.

This workshop is funded by the BBSRC Taiwan-UK International Partnering Awards and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan. The project is a collaboration between Aberystwyth University and Cardiff University in the UK, and the National Taiwan University and the Endemic Species Research Institute in Taiwan.
