The Wales Centre for Public Policy are hosting an event to present and discuss a forthcoming expert report by Professor John Goddard and Professor Ellen Hazelkorn.
The report explores the policy options available to the Welsh Government to define and encourage civic mission across tertiary education, what actions have been taken by governments of other countries, and what a civic tertiary education system might look like in Wales.
The event will feature contributions from:
- Kirsty Williams AM, Cabinet Secretary for Education
- Emeritus Professor John Goddard, Professor of Regional Development Studies at Newcastle University.
- Professor Ellen Hazelkorn, Director of the Higher Education Policy Research Unit at Dublin Institute of Technology.
Our aim is to share ideas and stimulate debate, and to share international evidence of best practice. There will be a Q&A session following the presentations, and we anticipate a lively discussion.
The event is free to attend, but we ask that you confirm your place by registering.
