Pierre Gaite is a research student in medieval history at Cardiff University, in the School of History, Archaeology and Religion, where his Ph.D. research focuses on the role and identity of household knights in fourteenth-century England, examining their social background, landholding, daily life and duties. His paper looks at one such group, the household knights of Thomas Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick, a nobleman and military commander during the Hundred Years’ War.
