Translational innovation

Translation of our research findings is central to our research programme. We work closely with our clinical and industrial partners to achieve this aim.

Some of our on-going activities include:

• Cancer genetic profiling. We are now working with industry to deliver this genetic test to patients with breast cancer
• Genetic testing and new therapies for patients with difficult and non-healing wounds and are currently in the process of producing a ‘Wound Genetics Prognostic Kit'

We have a range of other technologies including genetic testing in other cancer types and new therapeutics for cancer under development.

I feel very lucky for having been part of the CCMRC family of researchers. They provided an excellent learning environment in academia and innovative cancer research.
