Biocomputing

Mae'r cynnwys hwn ar gael yn Saesneg yn unig.

The Biocomputing hub focuses on the processing and storage of information generated by data-intensive research within the School of Biosciences.

The main purpose of the hub is to develop and provide research-led tools and resources for the analysis of biological data. Taking an integrated approach that combines data storage, training, infrastructure, and advice, the Biocomputing Hub offers a one-stop-shop for researchers with computational needs.

Facilities and services

The hub provides a self-service environment within a High Throughput Computing cluster (YSGO). We also offer preconfigured personal Virtual Machines (SKRINKLE) which are powered via a cluster comprising hundreds of Central Processing Units, Terabytes of RAM, and 100+ Terabytes of storage.

Training on the interface is available, and pre-prepared modules in common bioinformatic and statistical packages make it simple for users to get started with their analysis.
