What is the CUFoods app?

Frequently asked questions
How do I register via the mobile phone app?
- On the App Store or Google Play on your phone, type in 'Cardiff University Food' and the app should appear with the CUFoods logo.
- Click download.
- Once downloaded, open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to enter your details, register your phone and create an account.
I haven't received my validation email?
If you're having difficulties in receiving the validation email, please do the following:
- Check your junk email folder.
- If the email isn't there then reconnect to Cardiff University Food and Drink website, log in to your account and click on the link to 'Resend Validation Email'.
- If the above does not work, please contact foodanddrink@cardiff.ac.uk for further assistance.
How do I reset my password?
To reset your password go to your Account Details screen, scroll down to the Password section where you will find 3 fields: Current Password, New Password and Confirm New Password.
Fill each of these fields with their required values and hit the 'Reset Password' button. If you have forgotten your password and cannot login you can reset your password using the Forgotten Password page on the login screen.
How do I change my email address?
To change your registered email address (the email address you use to login to this site with), simply go to your 'Account Details' screen and expand the 'Contact' panel.
Within this panel, you will find a section titled 'Change your Email Address'. Fill our your new email address and confirmation of email address, then click the 'Save' button.
A verification email will then be sent to your new email address which will contain a reset link. Follow the steps shown on screen from this point.
How do I collect points?
You can collect points by presenting the QR code on your Cardiff University Food app to the cashier at the point of sale.
Can I check how many points I have collected?
The cardholder can view their card balance online by logging into their validated account on the website. The points from your transaction and total live points balance can also be printed on each till receipt.
How do I use a voucher?
If you have vouchers assigned to your account these vouchers are always available to be applied to your purchase at the till point (presuming all voucher requirements are fulfilled). You can also use Auto-Apply to pre-set vouchers in a pending state on your card/mobile phone app so that when you present it at the till, the voucher will automatically be applied.
Why do I need to register my personal details?
Personal details are required to enable us to link your card number/mobile phone app to you and Cardiff University Food and Drink Scheme. Without this information, we will not be able to generate an account summary, meaning you will not be able to collect or redeem your points.
Are my details safe?
The details you provide during the registration process are held securely on the MCR Systems Servers, and are not stored on any websites.
What happens if my personal details change?
It is your responsibility to advise Cardiff University Food and Drink of a change to your personal details by updating your account.
