Chinese culture
With the rapid growth of interest in Chinese culture, we are pleased to offer our local community the chance to learn about China and its varied culture.
The Cardiff Confucius Institute serves Cardiff University, the city and the wider region as a Chinese cultural hub. We typically organise large-scale public events around important cultural festivals, such as Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival. During term time we organise a series of public talks on China covering topics from ancient Chinese architecture to modern day social life in China, details of which can be found below. We also work closely with our community partners to provide cultural courses and workshops throughout the year.
Most of our events are free and everyone is welcome. Take a look at our Events pages for details all of our events and intercultural activities, or sign up to our quarterly events newsletter to receive information on how you can get involved.
Private classes, demonstrations and workshops can all be arranged via the Institute. Please contact us with details of your requirements.
