Here in the Cardiff Uni outreach team, we believe that education should be for all and our team focuses on those who are under-represented in higher education or who have experienced educational disadvantage or disruption.
We offer a wide range of programmes and outreach events that have been designed to break down the barriers to higher education and to support you through your educational journey. We're here to support your journey to university Our role is to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion by supporting students from specific groups to access and prepare for university. We recognise the benefits that a diverse and talented student community can bring.
We work with students that are:
- from low-income backgrounds
- the first in the family to attend university
- care-experienced
- carers
- estranged from their families
- asylum seekers and refugees
- black and under-represented ethnic backgrounds
- LGBT+
- student parents
- mature students.
We can offer you information, advice and guidance for your university application, and tips to help you prepare for university. Explore our pages to see what projects you can get involved with:
