Welsh School of Architecture Workshops

  • CalendarAvailable on request
  • Clock outlineUp to 2 hours

High-school children from across South Wales are setting out plans to set-up camp on Mars. Part of Cardiff University’s annual STEMLive outreach event.

The Welsh School of Architecture offer workshops for local primary and secondary schools.

Our staff are available to visit schools to teach workshops and give pupils an overview of architecture as a subject and profession. The workshops can be tailored to each age group in primary or secondary school.

During the workshop, classes participate in activities such as creating their own model houses. We also discuss the different aspects of housing design that architects need to think about, such as, materials, adaptability, environment, transparency and function. We also encourage pupils to think creatively and use their imaginations.
