Classroom Experience Project
- Available on request
- More than one day
- Available in Welsh
The Classroom Experience Project is run by the Work Experience team and provides classroom-based opportunities for Cardiff University students.
Benefits to schools include:
- pupils and teachers gain extra support in the classroom
- placements are flexible and can include general support with group or one-to-one work, or with subject specific projects
- our students act as positive role models; raising aspirations and inspiring pupils to pursue Higher Education
We recognise that first-hand experience within a classroom environment is the best way for our university students to develop the skills and experience needed to progress on to a teacher training course or gain the relevant skill set to pursue their chosen career.
Students are equipped with a voluntary enhanced DBS check and attend an induction run by Cardiff University before they go into a school. This helps them to prepare for their experience.
