Treorchy's Digital Community: The road to COVID-19 recovery

Treorchy in the Rhondda Fawr valley of South Wales is a vibrant local community with a range  of independent local businesses.

This project works to digitise the high street by working with small business owners and community leaders to develop an app and web platform to include e-commerce, tourism, arts and culture, town trails, and food and drink.

The app will be a community-led marketing tool to promote local online shopping, tourism and the arts. This project brings together tech and the community to connect small businesses with existing and new consumers and visitors to support COVID-19 recovery.

This project is a collaboration between Cardiff Business School, Treorchy Chamber of Trade, and the Treorchy Business Community, working together to train local businesses and community members to benefit from the digital platform.
