The Shadow of the Crane

The Shadow of the Crane is an interactive drama designed in collaboration with theatre industry professionals.

The programme, for school aged children in years 3-6 (Key Stage 2), aims to re-engage children in learning following the pandemic and encourage them to consider important environmental topics and themes in exciting and empowering ways.

The project draws inspiration from the Newport Wetlands and Gwent Levels and will be delivered live in the RSBP reserve or offered within the classroom for local schools unable to visit the site.

Young people will be introduced to local history and the environment, develop their creative writing, presenting, and interpersonal skills, and improve their confidence and resilience.
