Academics and Artists in the Community
Cynon Valley Organic Adventures (CVOA) is a community-led social enterprise in Abercynon, one of Western Europe's most socio-economically deprived regions.
CVOA is based on a 5-acre site where individuals and community groups can connect with nature to support their wellbeing and participate in multiple learning and skills-building opportunities.
The SWCEP funding created a dedicated hut and outdoor performance space to enable the delivery of diverse activities developed by partner institutions, including Cardiff Metropolitan University and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, on topics covering history, natural drug discovery, food safety and nutritional value, and health and wellbeing.
The space will also be used for young artists to provide musical training, performance art, and community performances.
