Key achievements
The Community Gateway project has received a number of awards over the past few years that recognise the achievements of the team, partners and residents of Grangetown.
These key achievements include:
- Partnerships Manager Ali Abdi, winner of the 2022 Professional Services Rising Star at Cardiff University Celebrating Excellence Awards
- winner of the Professor Sir David Watson Award for community-university partnerships
- winner of the Cardiff University Celebrating Excellence Award for outstanding contribution to community engagement
- gold winner in the CIPR Cymru PRide Awards in the Community Relations Campaign for the Love Grangetown, Shop Grangetown project.
- winner of the NCCPE Images of Public Engagement award in the 'People' category
- Programme Lead Dr Mhairi McVicar, winner of a Leading Wales Award for Leadership in the Public Sector.
