On Saturday 13th October the Universities of Cardiff and Oxford will come together to host a day of linguistic fun for Year 11 pupils from Wales as part of the Creative Multilingualism Project.
The day will be a mix of talks about why you might want to study languages after GCSE and the different career options languages can equip you for, and workshops where you can put your language skills into action. The workshops will encourage you to extend your knowledge of languages you already know beyond the school curriculum, and give you the option to try out a new language or use your languages creatively.
There will also be a session for parents and guardians at the start of the day about studying languages at University and the career paths open to modern linguists. Any parents or guardians dropping pupils off are welcome to attend that session.
All students who want to attend the event should register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/diwrnod-amlieithrwydd-creadigol-creative-multilingualism-day-tickets-49849169207
