The Kapila Hingorani Dialogues mark Pushpa Kapila Hingorani’s connection with Cardiff. (BA 1951, Hon 1988)

Pushpa Kapila Hingorani was born in Kenya and studied English, Economics and History at University College Cardiff, becoming the first South Asian woman to graduate from the institution. She went on to a distinguished legal career in India.

Join us for a conversation between Leverhulme Visiting Professor Justice Prof Joel Ngugi and Dr Aman Hingorani, on the theme of alternative justice systems. The evening will be chaired by Prof Wendy Larner, Vice-Chancellor and President, Cardiff University.

Leverhulme Visiting Professor, Justice Professor Joel Ngugi, was appointed Judge of the Kenya Court of Appeal in 2022. A pioneer of Third World Approaches to International Law, he holds an SJD from Harvard.

Dr. Aman Hingorani, Senior Advocate and Mediator, Supreme Court of India, and is an international trainer for advocacy and mediation skills. Dr. Hingorani has received national and international recognition for his work on Kashmir
