Research demonstrates that while advances in technology have provided many benefits to society, it has also led to a substantial reduction of our physical activity. This has significant consequences for our short and long term health and wellbeing outcomes.
Our School of Healthcare Sciences will be working with service users at a range of venues who offer inclusive cycling and wellbeing initiatives across Wales to explore the barriers, opportunities and benefits of integrating more physical activity into our everyday lives in the digital age. Our event partners and venues include Pedal Power Cardiff (25 Oct), Age Alive Newport (29 Oct), Foothold Cymru Llanelli (5 Nov), and Wheeltogether Aberystwyth (7 Nov)
This event forms part Cardiff University’s free events programme for the Festival of Social Science made possible thanks to funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
