The aim of the workshop is to bring together international scholars to present and discuss their research in the area of the economics of migration and to establish an academic network among this group.
We are delighted to announce that Joan Llull (Institute of Economic Analysis (IAE-CSIC) and Barcelona School of Economics (BSE)) and Michele Battisti (Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow) will deliver keynote speeches.
We welcome contributions from all areas of economics. Submissions from early career researchers are particularly encouraged. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) labour market disparities, the role of firms in the labour market performance of immigrants, economic and social integration of migrants, and novel methods and data sources to study the economics of migration.
Researchers interested in presenting a paper should submit a full paper (preliminary versions are welcome) no later than 1st September 2024. Please submit your papers to MigrationWorkshop2024@cardiff.ac.uk. Only papers not yet accepted for publication should be submitted. Kindly note that we expect the submitter to be the presenter of the paper. Confirmations will be sent by 15th September 2024.
There is no registration fee. Participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. A conference dinner will be hosted on 24th October. Further information on the workshop can be found at https://sites.google.com/view/migrationworkshop2024.
