EMPOWER: Winter event

This event has ended.

A free event for all members of staff at Cardiff University that identify as female. The event includes sessions on career building, networking and peer mentoring and will take the form of presentations, group discussions and workshops. Attendees will be welcome to enroll on the EMPOWER peer mentoring programme.

• Career building: Professor Sally Holland will be talking about her career as a female academic and gender equality in the university
• Networking: Activities to meet others and determine our interdisciplinary research interests in preparation for a ‘sandpit’ event
• Peer mentoring: Continuing the development of our peer coaching network with Professor Monica Busse – learn how to support each other effectively

Buffet lunch included.

The event is the first of three in the 2023/24 academic year, with later events focussed on grant capture.
