Creative Cardiff wants to continue bringing people together to meet and collaborate in 2023. From February onwards, we’re launching a new monthly networking opportunity for artists, SMEs and creative freelancers, called 'Creative Cuppas'. These ‘back to basics’ networking events will bring Cardiff's creative community together for the all-important three Cs - connection, creativity and caffeine.
Creative Cuppa takes place on the first Thursday of each month, and the next one will be on Thursday 2 March in Heart Space, Cardiff Met's School of Art and Design.
Taking place on World Book Day, this session asks 'Who's afraid of writing?', led by writer, tutor and mentor Briony Goffin. This is an opportunity to reflect on how you can improve your own writing and use it to enhance your work or promote your business.
Briony teaches creative writing at Cardiff University and is a specialist in facilitating creative writing experiences in community and healthcare settings. Briony has worked extensively in the NHS, as a project lead, working with patients, staff and relatives. She has also brought her writing expertise to organisations as diverse as National Museum Wales, HM Prison Service, The National Trust, Sky Arts and The Hay Festival. Briony has published widely on the subject of writing and the creative process. She has been awarded Inspirational Tutor of the Year by NIACE and has shared her work on Writing as Tribute with a global audience for TEDxCardiff.
