An afternoon of talks and evening concert

Join us at Cardiff University School of Music for an afternoon of talks focusing on Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’s iconic music-theatre masterpiece, Eight Songs for a Mad King, followed by an evening concert featuring this work and other pieces by Judith Weir and Anna Semple.
Pre-concert talks, 3.30–5.30pm: speakers to include Nicholas Jones and David Beard (Cardiff University), Michael McCarthy (Artistic Director of Music Theatre Wales) and Kelvin Thomas (baritone soloist, who has played the role of King George III on numerous occasions).
