Professor Dame Theresa Marteau, University of Cambridge
Why - despite our annual resolutions and numerous government policies - does our weight continue to rise and our levels of physical activity fall? And why more so for those living in the poorest neighbourhoods?
Why - six decades after reports marking tobacco out as the most lethal legal product - is smoking still one of the largest preventable causes of premature death, and the gap in life expectancy between the rich and poor?
In answering these questions, Professor Dame Marteau will outline five ways of changing our behaviour to improve the health of us all.
