NCMH: ten years of mental health research

This event has ended.

During that time NCMH has recruited over 24,000 volunteers who have shared their experiences to help them understand the causes of mental health problems. Thanks to their help NCMH have been able to develop, study and trial new interventions in mental health such as treatments for PTSD and maternal mental health difficulties.

They are also so proud of what the NCMH team has been able to achieve this year considering how the pandemic has impacted how they work, yet they continue to strive for:

• The advancement of mental health and learning disability research in Wales
• Engagement with patients, their families, the wider public and third sector organisations to increase understanding of mental health illness and the need for research
• Change in the research culture in health and social care services
