Fiona will be talking about some qualitative longitudinal interviews that she has been doing in a South Wales Valleys community where there are plans to develop a geothermal district heating scheme using water from disused mine workings. In the talk, Fiona will look at how the area’s associations with energy have changed over time and discuss the challenges of connecting people with broad concerns about climate change and sustainability in the context of everyday pressures of life in a low-income community.
