Schools Forum 2019: Teaching and Learning in Mandarin

A full day of workshops centered around teaching and learning Mandarin Chinese in primary and secondary schools. The workshops will be facilitated by guest speaker Lucy Wicks, a specialist Mandarin teacher at Didcot Girls School who has over 10 years' experience embedding Chinese into the curriculum across all key stages.

Workshops will include:

• Setting up Chinese in your School
• Teaching Chinese creatively
• Where to start with the new GCSE

In addition there will be updates from other schools who are currently teaching Mandarin Chinese in Wales, information about Mandarin qualifications, networking, and the opportunity to share good practice.
