Chinese Tai Chi is not only a beautiful, ancient art form, but also a way to keep healthy. Originally developed as a martial art, Tai Chi is now practised around the world to promote health and well-being as it combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements.
Join us on this four-week Chinese Tai Chi course where we will introduce you to the history of Tai Chi as well as its modern day use. Over the weeks you will build an understanding of some of the basic postures used in Tai Chi and the meaning behind them. Each week will include a practical session where you can build on your technique. The course will run on the following dates:
- Saturday 18 May, 1pm-2pm, Canton Library
- Saturday 25 May, 1pm-2pm, Canton Library
- Saturday 1 June, 1pm-2pm, Canton Library
- Saturday 8 June, 1pm-2pm, Canton Library
Places are limited, please contact the library (029 2078 0999, cantonlibrary@cardiff.gov.uk) to book. There will be a small charge of £2 per session.
