Research Trainee Support Programme
This programme provides various supports for researchers studying in the fields of psychiatry or clinical neurosciences who wish to gain practical experience training with world-class researchers.
You will have access to state of the art facilities, including a fully equipped genetics laboratory and the latest neuroimaging technologies.
Who can apply?
We encourage applications from psychologists, neuroscientists, geneticists, mathematicians and computer scientists. Evidence of strong academic potential and supporting references will be required.
We aim to recruit forward- and outward-facing, motivated, passionate individuals who will stimulate new thinking with progressive and inclusive approaches. We are committed to recruiting people who will bring difference in background, approach, identity and experiences.
These are short-term placements geared toward researchers looking for training opportunities. This is not a call for clinical trainees, who should instead refer to our Clinical Academic Mentorship Scheme.
Funding
We particularly welcome applications where funding has been secured, however, support is available to supplement the costs of travel and accommodation.
How to apply
If interested, please complete the questionnaire for visiting trainees and submit together with a CV to psychmedadminsupport@cardiff.ac.uk.
