About
The Centre for Cyber Security Research (CCSR) unites interdisciplinary expertise, linking resources, research and education across the University. It provides a natural point of contact for industry and government engagement.
The Centre is recognised by the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in partnership with the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR).
Cardiff University is one of only 17 ACEs in the UK, and the first and only ACE in Wales.
Our work
Our work in the Centre includes:
- tackling cutting-edge research challenges and distilling this knowledge into practical guidance that is available to all, with a track record in industrial impact
- securing public and private sector networks and responding to cyber security incidents to reduce the harm they cause to organisations and the UK economy
- using industry and academic expertise to nurture the UK's cyber security capability and educate the next generation.
